Dear Better Car Living,

I've only recently made the transition to in-car living and it's something my wife is very uncomfortable with. She says she never sees me anymore and wants me to spend less time in traffic. I want her to be happy and really accept my constantly being in traffic, but I just don't know how. What should I do?

Yours sincerely

Dear 2nd Laner,

This isn't the first time we've been asked a question like this and I'm sure it won't be the last. It's not uncommon for wives, husbands, partners, even children to be unsympathetic of the in-traffic lifestyle choice. So you have to be strong. Remind them that absence only makes the heart grow fonder. If they still continue to pressure you into leading a less traffic-oriented lifestyle, I recommend you let them experience it for themselves. Organise an in-traffic picnic or coffee. After the first couple of hours I'm sure you'll see a difference in their attitude.

Best wishes
The Editor.
